Fetu laiti / Little stars

Written by Talalelei Misikopa, illustrated by Jonathon Thompson

Samoan

English

A ‘emo ’emo mai o fetu laiti,

When I see twinkle twinkle little stars,

O nisi e lapopo’a, a’o nisi e nini’i.

Some are big, others are small.

E ‘emo ‘emo mai le lagi maualuga,

They twinkle twinkle from heaven and afar,

Pei ni taimane lo latou pupula.

Like small diamonds, I think they are.

A ‘emo ‘emo mai o fetu laiti,

When I see twinkle, twinkle little stars

E foliga fiafia pei o tamaiti.

Like little children, how happy they can be.
